The application is meant for detecting any paranormal activity in your vicinity.
XParanormal Detector is an application designed to try to detect paranormal activity in your surroundings. Several detectors are used. These detectors include various electronic peripherals of your computer. Existing computer hardware is used to measure abnormal changes and detect vibrations and energy to help spirits communicate with you. The set of measurements done through the many detectors on your machine are analyzed and a unique algorithm is used to analyze the energy flux (based on the Rapid quantum-flux). Readings from either your Wi-Fi adapter and/or network adapter are analyzed to detect Rapid QUANTUM Fluctuations. The analyzed interpretation of the readings is displayed graphically. The interface has two scope displays for the same. In the pro version you get even a radar like blip indicating the location of any paranormal activity.
While what exactly is being captured and what does the analysis establish is debatable and the believers seem to fall into the cult category, the display is well designed and the whole thing looks pretty scientific. The developers have a disclaimer saying that it is not well established scientific method of study and it not known what exactly is monitored in this set up. The idea is that an intelligent energy (entity, presence, spirit or ghost) should be able to influence the readouts and communicate with you. What those readings mean and how you interpret them is really up to you. Without being judgmental, it can be said that the application is well organized to capture whatever it is supposed to capture.
